Sometimes convenience foods are … convenient. This handy little package of dried noodles in my pantry has been the start of many fast meals. You may use the brand you prefer.
Package and contents – For a healthier meal, only use half the seasoning packet and a splash of soy sauce to adjust the salt level.
About one cup of a bagged coleslaw mix (red and green cabbage and shredded coleslaw) sauteed and stirred into the cooked noodles.
Serving ideas – I’ve also used sliced roasted lamb and ham stirred into the noodle mixture for a one dish meal
Ssamjang chicken leg
Beef rissoles with shredded zucchini in the meat mixture

I love using instant noodles for quick and easy meals. A cheese omelette and instant noodles also work well.
We don’t eat this stuff all the time but SOMETIMES you gotta do what you gotta do. Especially when you’re cooking for one. 🙂
It’s true, not everyday foods, but useful in a pinch.
I used to live on these while I was at university! Now I just buy them for the noodles and toss the flavour packets (I just can’t take the msg anymore). You’ve really created some clever meals.
Thank you. I’m getting lazy these days and when I don’t feel like ‘cooking’ they’ll fill me up. I add a few easy toppings like green onions and corn for colour. Sometimes, I even make the marinated ramen eggs with soft yolks.
I just love marinated ramen eggs!
