The only thing that made this meal even vaguely culturally appropriate was the hard lemonade with tequila. 🙂

Cooking is Fun ... Really!! 
In Australia, 5 May doesn’t really mean anything, apart from Revenge of the Fifth after May the Fourth be with you.
It doesn’t mean much in Canada either other than being an excuse to eat Mexican food and drink Mexican beer or Tequila or mescal based cocktails. Kind of like St. Patrick’s day. 🙂
Mexican food is popular here but it’s not like how Mexican food is in the US and Canada. Next year I should anticipate it and make myself some nachos for dinner.
And stock up on some Dos Equis to go with them. 🙂
Sadly I cannot drink alcohol.
Bummer. I like the occasional beer or mixed drink myself. 🙂
